Its for stability. They have the main classics like, the Gels, Cumulus, Nimbus, Kayano. They have the blasts, which are high performance training shoes, and the metas which are racing shoes. Edit: Asics has a gear tool for picking a shoe based on your distance, use, gait etc. So It's much more logical lineup than some other manufacturers.
Nimbusis another well-cushioned shoe by ASICS but a neutral one. I am a neutral runner and hence never really even thought of buying a support shoe until I tried this Kayano. Kayano 25 looks sporty, also maybe a bit chunky, like a proper running shoe. Not super fashionable, not a delicate racer but just a good generic running shoe. uaDsS.
